I don't mean to hack anyone's thread, but I am a big fan of the type-f fluid. I even use it in my 69 charger's 727. But would you recomend that for a manual? or should i stick with a standard dexronIII?

Iuse Royal Purple synchromax its $8 a quart but you only need 3. Givews you smoother shifting and keeps the tranny cooler. I put it in my beat up T-5 and it actually grinded less. Thats all I use now. It also lasts longer. I get it from 5.0 Resto.com.

I too used Royal Purple synchromax. 3rd gear doesnt grind nearly as much as it did.

my car wouldn't go into 2nd from 3rd or from neutral, put some BG syncroshift (13$ quart mitubishy fluid) and it is much better, normaly i used GM syncromesh (10$ quart) but from now on i'll spend the money and get the mitus fluid... fluid is fluid it's all about what additives the company puts in that sh*t
