Default TKO600 or T56

This morning, when I was driving home for lunch, I tried to pass another car in second gear. When I shifted to second, all I heard was my transmission exploding. I have all gears except for 3rd now, and I can hear the remains of 3rd rattling around in the other gears. So, my tax return is coming, and I'm left with a choice... TKO600 or T56. Any advice?

Or for that matter, does anybody have a T5 they would be willing to part with for a few hundred?

check junkyards... you can grab ANY t5 from 90-95 if you want the stronger gearset...
even 94-98 v6's use a t-5... but you will need to swap your input shaft onto the trans if you go 94+

Just giving you some options

if you powershifted right thars your problemo

if you plan on doing that (as from what i hear T-5s cant take powershifting) id go with the TKO 600 or T56

personally, its how much you got and how many gears you want.

It depends, if you race past 4th gear then get the t56. if you dont then get the tko. Car will fall on its face when you go to 5th in the TKO unless you get .84 OD.

first off 4 gear in t-5 =5th gear and t56 so i dunno why it would matter if u race past 4 gear on a t-5... a t56 just has closer gears with the extra one thrown in to get u to a 1:1 gear ratio faster... if u can shift fast... i was under the assumtion tko 600 were a six speed as we... and im not sure but i thot they went the in the new shelbys.... i now the t56 viper spec is price but its tuff as nails... and d and d performance has a nice convertion kit for a decent price... i mean... its no goin to be cheap eitehr way.... as for hte tko 600 it is obvious i know very lil about it so i wont give advice on it... would be misleading... im sure others knwo about it tho u got always get a g-force T-5 they are pretty tuff too... no as tuff... but a hell of a lot cheaper... and the swap is just a tranny swap nothan more to deal with... im think they go 900ish plus ship and u own them a core tranny... and since yours isnt doin so well it wouldnt be worth much newayz... so you look at a grand mayb got a trans that is rated aronud 450 ft-lbs if memory serves me... or somwere in teh neighborhood... gl with w.e. u do

Dude your crazy, you gotta learn how to talk first cobra haha. Unless its a close ratio 6 speed its just a 5 speed with a double overdrive. Dude you dont need a six speed, get a tko 500 and be done with it. Or spend a couple hundread and get another t5.
