hey guys what does it take to make a high mileage (150K) 89-93 fox safe to mod? an engine rebuild? tranny rebuild? how much would it cost. thanks guys.

depends what ur doin to it

obviously new stuff is better than old stuff

if ur doin h/c/i u will be replacing gaskets and such during the assembly

bottom end, timing chain, and stuff like that is usually ok for 300-400 hp... if u think the cars been beat or it has poor oil pressure a rebuild wouldnt be a bad idea

all depends if u got the money and time.

im not goin for more than about 350rwhp. how are the stock trannies?

not good, they dont take well to hardness, i think the stock t-5 is good for 300 hp (not 100% sure i think though)

engine should be fine. mine has close to 200K and goes 13s with the stock motor, suspension only. Their good running motors.
