it moves the hp up or down in the rpm range......cant remember which direction. the change is minimal. i had a 3/8" spacer on my old motor. my new motor has a 1" spacer but that was just so i could get better valve covers under the upper manifold

i know after i put mine on it moved peak hp up 200 rpm and dropped peak tq like 400
