Kenne Bell blower misfire
I installed the Kenne Bell 1.5L kit running 5 psi of boost. I ran new vacuum lines and installed the FMU (fuel management unit) in between the return fuel lines as noted in the manual. I set the spark plug gap to 0.035" as stated in the manual. I installed Autolite #24 spark plugs as stated in the manual.
I have the stock MAF unit in. I put in a new coil less than 6 months ago.
I upgraded the ignition via a MSD 6A. I also put in a new cap and rotor. The spark plugs wires are FRPP 9mm units that I installed less than 200 miles ago. I put the timing at 10 degrees BTDC as noted in the manual.
Before I installed the motor the car was running great with the current spark plug wires.
I am at a loss at this point. The car idles rough and misses throughout the entire RPM range. The car is making boost but it feels like it is running on 6 or 7 cylinders. I put my timing light pickup on all of the spark plug wires and I have spark coming from all of them. I checked the firing order and it is correct.
Any ideas what would cause the miss through the RPM range and rough idle?

did you unplug your computer and let it reconfigure all it's inputs? When you checked your timing did you take out the shorting plug?

not tryin to beat a dead horse but just make sure that the wires are goin to the correct cylinders. its usually the easy things that get the best of us[:@] check and see if you're throwin any codes. just cuz the lights not on doesnt mean that the comp isn't tryin to talk to ya

The shorting plug is near the distributor cap just hanging out. It has about 2-3 wires connected to it. It has two clips on it. Just pull them apart carefully and pull out the shorting plug. Then readjust your timing.

Is it smoking black smoke?

I will try removing the shorting module and do a double check on the spark plug wires to the correct cylinders. Too late to work on it tonight as I don't want to be pissing off the neighbors with the whistle from the blower. It sounds badass. I just wish it was running right.
