Default 351 windsor

i have the opportunity to buy a 351w from a friend of mine for 150 bucks. it does run but it needs a rebuild because it has 150000 miles on it. i popped the valva cover off and it looks clean. as of right now im dropping the 302 in my car but eventually i would like to put a 351 in it (next winter possibly). should i buy it now and start the rebuild on the engine this summer?

i would definitely buy it, for that cheap you could re-sell it and probably make some money on it if you ended up not using it.

If the block passes a compression test, then it could have some miles left in it...

I would at least strip it down the short block and inspect the bores for wear, and check the main bearings.

352W swap into a Mustang can get sort of expensive.
You at least.............
Oil pan
Headers
engine mounts OR a hood...........
