how bout it
since the whole speed density issue is killing me i decided to find another way to go to upgrade my 5.slow and make it fast and this is what i found
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/400-h...QQcmdZViewItem
now i saw this motor in person and it really is what it says it is, and i was just hopin to get some feed back as to what you all thought about it. its a direct swap, all i need is the timing cover and teh intake and headers, all total it would run close to 3000
what do u guys think

RE: how bout it
is it a 4 bolt main, i noticed the cleveland heads too, the only heads that had too big of ports that only had high HP at high rpms was the "tunnel ports heads" and were only on the 69 boss 302, i believe thats right, im not exactly sure, dont have my book to look at right now

RE: how bout it
the ones on the origeinal boss were the 4v heads with ports the size of a tennis ball, these are the 2v heads they are a lot smaller and perform better on the street. they have a gr8 low end

"In the most extreme performance applications, builders opted for the huge ports of the 351 Cleveland heads, a swap that required different pistons, water passage modifications, and a special intake manifold." http://www.mustangandfords.com/techa...ads_flow_test/
Im pretty sure cleveland heads werent even interchangbale with a 302, considering the block arent even the same
vavle size for the 2v cleveland -2.03intake/1.67exhaust

RE: how bout it
i kno this already thats why i figure the machine work alone will be worth over 2000 so i am just wondering what else i should be concerned with

i m pretty sure its a 2 bolt, but i gotta email him again so i will ask

those huge ports are gonna kill low end torque, and was the block a 4 bolt or not?

RE: how bout it
the flow numbers really arent that great-The numbers came in strong with a 198-cfm figure at .600-inch lift on the intake and an even more impressive 162.7-cfm flow on the exhaust.
These numbers are from Thumber ported e7s-219.9/160
the exhaust is great from the cleveland thought, and for the block being said its a "clone" just seems kinda weary that its not a 4 bolt, but it might be, for the price and the power, it seems like not too bad of a deal but maybe not the best, IMO
