Watch out, those 350 irocs don't get enough credit. One with slicks that gets a good luanch can run 13's at the track with almost no mods. I think it would be a pretty even race to be honest. If its a 305 you'll win no problem because then its only a 17 sec car.

Only the 305 came with the five speed from the factory. The 5.7 L98 engine came with the 700R4 automatic. Third gen f bodies are hit or miss performance wise. Some 5.7s run low 14s stock while some cant break out of the 15s. The 305 TPI auto are dogs and the five speeds 305 TPIcars a touch slower than say an stock auto fox. Great looking cars but PITA to work on and the parts are expensive.

^^haha so a 350 is as fast as the H.O 302......but uglier...ill stick to the fox lol. 17s...thas a downgrade from my sixxer.

Yes some IROC's had T5 in them. But only the 305's.

A 305 iroc runs 17s. A 350 iroc will run 14's all day long w/ street tires stock. They really don't get enough respect, I guess they won't on a ford forum though.
