I have a question about what tires I should run at the track. I have a 89 Gt 5 speed that has a baer brake system with rear disk and 5 lug, The rotor's on the front are 13" and the rear's are 12" and the baer caliper's barely clear the 17in cobra R wheels on the front by like a half a inch. My tires right now are 245/45/R17's and I am wanting to get some new tires that hook good. Do you think that it would look goofy with 16" wheels on the rear for the strip and how bad will the 17's with the wide tires on the front slow me down on the track.? Whats the difference in performance between 17 Cobra R wheels and stock 15's? My wheels dont really feel all that heavy. I seen some kumho's for really cheap and wanted to know if there anygood? Sorry for so many questions
