1/4 mile time

RE: 1/4 mile time
I'm running a very similar setup on my '83 and ran high 12.9 @109mph with 3.27 gears and a bad launch (2500rpm =nasty bog). Broke the T5 when I launched higher. 109 should be good for very low 12s if I could get a full run without breaking another clutch or trans, etc. Unfortunately, it'll never get a chance to get any more runs with the current setup....starting the turbo build this weekend. Ok, not really unfortunately.
My '89 GT is also similar, but hasn't been to the track. Won't get any times in it either, since its going back to stock and will be sold.

If it is your 1st time running at a track plan on running .5 to .75 slower than what the car should run. If your gonna be on street tires go around the water box give it a littl cherp and leave the line from 2000-2500 rpm. Good Luck! Should be mid 13's

low 12
low 12
That being said, I think that a lot of these guys aren't giving you the credit that you deserve. You should be able to hit a mid to high 13 on street tires, if you can drive. Suspension and stickies, like has already been said, should get you deep into the 12s
