Default Clunk in rear of car

My car has a clunk in the rear thats especially noticeable when coming to a hard stop. Sometimes the car will buck abit when it clunks.

I cant seem to figure out where the clunk is coming from.

Ive got all new shocks (4 rear ones) and new aftermarket nonadjustable control arms. I just had the traction lock unit rebuilt and the gears changed. However the clunk was there before the new gears were put in.

The exhaust is now tight (I checked it yesterday).

Whats a possible source? Its rather annoying.

Is there a kid trapped in your trunk? I had ther same problem for like a month...turns out it was some kid who got stuck in there playing hide and seek.

Check your torque boxes. They can make some pretty weird noises. Look for cracks, breaks on welds, etc. Anything outta the norm.
You mentioned that you had rear LCA's. Who put them on? Was the car sitting on its own weight when the bolts were tightend up? If not thats the cause of your prob. BTW, this WILL destroy your torque boxes.

That's why I hate hatches. Hard to transfer kidnapped kids and bodies.

Just curious, but could it just be the car jack or lug wrench flopping around in the spare wheel well? That will make a pretty noticeable clunk.

I put them on with the car on a lift.
It was on the lift when I tightened the bolts.
