+1 It's not impossible to see low 15 in either car. Most of that depends on the condition and driver of the 5.0

I was meaning that low 15 not being impossible for the 05 V6 was a good thing, and not impossible for the 5.0 being low 15 being a bad thing. I would give the race to the 86 depending on the condition. It is just possible they can be even.

my friend has a 87 306 auto and i raced him with my auto v6 05' and it was neck and neck all through first, second and third he had me by about a half a car and as soon as he hit 4th he was gone. the 302 might be closer but it woudl still whoop our asses in the end lol

I ****ted on one with my 90 5speed hatch and he was driving a manual. 5.0 is lighter and has more torque and horsepower. 05 v6 arent that fast.

glad ur honest lol. so how much more power does a 306 put down compared to a 302

good question is tht just bored out a little or is it a whole different block than the 302?

jus bored out a lil. im plannin on rebuilding the engine when i get one. and im just replacing the stock parts with parts for a 306.

A 306 is justa 302 bored .030 over
