hey guys i have an 05 v6, and i just recently bought an 86 gt hatchback 5 spd. for a while i was hearing that both of those cars are evenly quick and i drove my 86 gt the other day and it seems so much faster, is it true is the 5.0 alot faster or is it just that the 86 isnt new and kinda falling apart and has alot more torque? thanks

I'm not sure on the torque specs of your sixer, but I'm sure that the 5.0 has an *** load more torque, 25 more horsepower, and it's a few hundred pounds lighter.

The V6s are quick but its just not the same. There just something about these little 5.0s.

you'll smoke i, i hada 2k2 auto v6 and bought a 86 5.0 stock then raced the guy i sold the car to by the time i shifted to 2nd i as already 3-4 cars ahead of him. he isa good drver too, you'll smoke um nevr underestimate your 5.0

if u get good tires than a stock 5.0 will give a auto 06 gt a close run.
