I think I paid $3,200 for the heads, cam, lifters, rr's, timing chain, stroker kit, and may be a couple other things.

I wasn't happy with the stroker kit and my engine builder said it was garbage.

sorry to burst your bubble but at 5PSI there is now way in hell that you are going to get 550RWHP, i like the 430 estimate a lil better, i built a 347 with prolly better parts than you did, higher flowing heads andwith 8.5:1 compression i only put down 373RWHP and 427 lbft tq,, also witha nasty cam that 5PSI that it says it puts outyou will only prolly see 3PSI soim sorry dont get your hopes up,, that main girdle is nice butwill only keep yourparts in a nice pile after you break the stock block all to hellaround 500-550RWHP,, im going to go out on a limb here and say a overestimate and go with 445RWHPget that biotch finished and letus knowwhat it put down with a dyno sheet,

im in the middle ofswapping all my stuff into a new Dart IE block and not tha crappy sportsman,, all 4 bolt mains goingto shoot a 150-300 shot to itfor a while till i get the HP 76mm turbo thenshould put downsomewhere round 650-725RWHP with 12#s boost

I'm just going on what the builder said and I'd be happy with 430 RWHP. I know the engine builder didn't cut corners when doing the long block and said he's gone with the best of the best from a component standpoint. The first stroker kit I bought based on Jay Allen's recommendation he wouldn't use because of the low tension rings, cast crank and other components he thought were cheap. I actually posted some pics. of the engine I took yesterday and go check it out and let me know what you think.

I've heard the same thing about what a main girdle does and I'm meeting up with the guy whose helping me with the disassembly today and we'll hopefully get the old block out. 445 RWHP sounds good and I was only at 270 RWHP after I got the SC installed. Now I'm doing heads, cam, bigger MAF, 42 lb. inj., higher volume FP with ext. pump as well, so 445 would be a huge leap.

I'm getting the car dyno'd as soon as it's back together and take a pic and get it posted.

Thanks for your input.

yep no problem,, now if you had a carb and a s/c on there and dumping fuel to it and upped the CR to liek 9 or 9.2:1 you would see over 500 i bet

I think 430rwhp seems reaonable but I think you might be able to hit a little over that. And yes, ruger is right about you only seeing 3psi (or something around there). But that doesnt mean that your going to be loosing power from the charger, you will just be seeing less boost because you are going to have less air restriction throughout your entire motor.

The CR is going to be 8.5-1. Do you guys think I should get a smaller pulley and up the boost back to 5?

You could do that, but you know if you change the blower pulley you void the warranty right?

if i were you i would push it after you get it built and broke in, do not put that charger on there right away,, run it n/a for bit, get it dynoed then put the charger on in bout 1500miles then put a 8" crank pulley and put bout 10#s to it or so should be up around 500RWHP no problem with tha tmuch boost

Good recommendation and I appreciate the advice. I did know about voiding the warranty of you change the blower pulley and am going to ease into this, if I do it at all. I think this set up should keep me intent for a while.

What kind of oil are you guys with similar set ups running?
