Default Engine Build Update

I haven't been on for a while, but I'm getting my 347 stroker built and have actually gone a little crazy with the mods. We're almost done pulling out my engineandthe engine shop should have my new bottom end/long blockdone next week. They went with an early model'69 302 block because they're stronger and I actually bought another stroker kit with better components.

They girdled the block too because once it put back togetherwith theCanfield 195heads with upgraded springs, Camshaft Innovations custom grindcam, and roller rockers, along with my Vortech 5 psi supercharger, etc. I also bought a Hamberger pan with oil pump pick up, a 255 lph pump, a Vortech T-Rex ext. FP,an Anderson power pipe,Centerline Rims with MT Drag Radials, and front skinnies. The mods I had before all this were a full 3" mandrel bent x-pipe exhaust with Borla mufflers, 355 ghears, a fluidyne rad, a Flex Lite Black Magic Xtreme fan,, 1 5/8" equal length heads, and MSD 6AL ignition, a Pro M 90MM MAF, 70 MM TB, a TF Street upper/lower intake, and a bunch of other little stuff.

I'm getting the car dyno'd as soon as I get it back together, and should have everything back together in a few weeks.

Any guesses on where I'll be RWHP?

I meant to say I had the block girdled to make the block stronger, since I'll be pushing some serious HP. I also did the conversion to mass air prior to all this.

I forgot a couple other things. I'm going with 42 lb. inj. and have the subframe connectors, Koni shocks/struts, castor/cambor plates., Lakewood actiion traction lower control arms and UPR uppers with the polyurethane bushings.

I'm psyched to get this back on the road and think this will tap me out for a while.

The engine builder said 550 RWHP with my setup. The engine builder went with all top of the line race components, gaskets, pan, etc., but who knows.

I guess I'll find out soon enough. Before the 347 stroker, 90MM Pro M MAF, 42 lb.inj., 255 lph FP and T-Rex FP, heads, cam, etc., I was at 270 RWHP, for whatever that's worth.

I'll try topost the dyno sheets as soon as I get that done.

He just told me today, it's going to be 8.5 to 1. I think he factored in the SC when he decided on this. I know it's taken a lot of fabricating/grinding to get the girdle, pan, etc. to fit. Do yourself a favor and buy a forged crank, rods, pistons, and go with all top of the line head studs, timing chain, etc. I made the mistake of getting a cast crak, rods, and an overall cheaper quality kit the first time and ended up selling it on e-bay. Get your crank delivered balanced as well.

I went with Canfield 195's and a custom grind comp cam that Jay Allen at Camshaft Innovations put together.
