gspfunk, Thanks alot man. I really appreciate you help! Im a great mechanic with body's suspension etc. but this is my 1st real engine job. So i want to do it right the 1st time. any help is very much appreciated. thanks again!

You can get good pedestal rockers also, but I believe the studs are a little stronger, but also more expensive.

Well I know for shure Im getting the heads, rr's , afr head bolts, etc,
whats good to go with for a hardned pushrod? also whats good to go with for lifters? studs?

I went w/ ARP head studs. They can be a little more of a pain at times, but they can be reused since the nut is where the twisting force is applied instead of the bolt like regular head bolts.

Scorpion 1.6 Stud mount RR's = $200
FRPP hardened pushrods = $45
Lifters (FRPP, Crane, etc) = ~$120
ARP head studs = $75
AFR 185's = ~$1350 [c-f-m.com]

I'm like you...I want the best possible deal for my $$ and don't mind looking around. Definitely call Dave at JD's and see what he can do for you on the parts you need. Good luck!!

what should a custom can vs a pre made cam cost. I know an e-303 and a b-303 is like $175 or so!
