Default new intake manifold

should i go with the edelbrock performer rpm II or Trickflow, both are good but the edelbrock is supposed to supply more consistent power throughout the 1500-6500rpm range.

TFS makes good stuff, but so does Edelbrock. It depends on the rest of your combo and your cam's powerband. Both companies makeintakes for Idle-5500 and 1500-6500 rpm ranges.

Holy Shnikies!!!!

What heads? Please don't say stock.

Even w/ a good H/C/I swap, you don't need bigger than a 70 or MAYBE 75mm TB. 80mm is WAAAAYYYYYY too large. You don't need that big of a MAF, either, unless you are planning to run boost.

We need to know more about your engine combo....you won't be happy w/ the performance if you mismatch parts like that.

it will be using a kenne bell 2.2L supercharger in about a year. im building around that. the heads are supposed to be gt40 but i cant find a site or a person that can tell me how to id them. ill probably go with a 70 though to save the trouble of matching

Okay...if you plan on running boost in the not-to-distant future, then you should be able to manage w/ a 75mm TB, but you won't have the throttle response you want in N/A trim. I wouldn't want to buy parts twice, either.

Look at the end of one of the heads. GT40's have 3 parallel, vertical bars and P's have 4. GT40's will have GT cast on top of the head by the springs and the P heads should say GTP, IIRC.

A TB that is too large allows more air to enter than the intake and heads can flow, causing a backup and losing velocity. The 75mm TB should be okay w/ your blower and will scream at WOT. It just may not be as great on the low-mid range until you get that blower on it.
