Your fuel system, (monitoring and supply) is the most important part. I know that most companies that advertise their chargers are tested on completely stock engine, with the exceptions of fuel upgrades.

My friend has a '92 LX with 14 psi Procharger kit with 30# injectors, 75mm MAF matched to the injectors, and 255 lph fuel pump. Everything else is stock and works great. He's faster than my '83 with HCI and bolt-ons. My '89 GT with HCI and 12# S-trim tore him up though.
I'd recommendtheMAF conversion, 30# injectors or larger and a 255lph pump as your minimum mods with the S/C.
