i duno why i didnt pull the headers with the motor.. was kinda not in a hurry but excited to get the motor out.. ya know.. and i end'd up brakn all 4 spark plugs on passenger side.. but i think ima actually sell them headers and buy some new long tubes.. im thinkn hooker headers.. but thanks for the compliments on the paint.. atleast its a good paitn job.. not all ****y.. theres no runs what so ever and its so smooth and glossy.. like frdst said it gives it the muscle car look.. plus the whole underneath of the car ima paint gloss black.. so my tranny and driveshaft and suspension parts reflect of it.. its gonna look good.. it was chepaer then gettn my body paint mixd and all that .. and it dont look bad at all.. i was gonna fiber glass all the wholes but figured ford put them wholes there for a reason.

Did you replace any of your sheet metal in the compartment or just clean everything up/paint it. The reason I ask is the my 88 project that I bought has wrinkled inner fender aprons and I am sure the radiator core support is probably tweaked as well. If you did replace things, who did you get the parts from and did you weld things yourself? or have someone else do it?

Looks great and I like the black bay. Helps hide the dirt and grit that will get built up over time if this is a street car.

i like the look of a flat black engine compartment..or semi-gloss black.. gives it that muscle car look i think.. just my opinion though.. and by the way.. have fun bolting those headers back up... i bet they will need some tweaking.
I agree, looks good.

ya it is a street car.. and nope first i sand'd it all down to just bout metal withi think 80grit.. and then i used paint stripper cost like 15bucks for a good can. and got it to bar metal.. then primed it with black primer.. then re sand'd it again with the 80grit.. then re primed it went over it all with 200gritt and then primed it one last time.. then spryd it bout 2 coats with the gloss black.. then clear coated it ...but no i didnt have to use any sheet metal.. but i dont think it would be hard to weld a few peices in and fiberglass/putty them in..
