Dont be so hard on yourself, it's not that big of a deal. The polished tips are more expensive but I think they're worth it, they clean up really nice and shine awesome

I kinda wish the tips on my SLP's werent to banged up... id go clean them up in a heartbeat

but i guess thats what i get for buying used parts
