Default Fuel System for 450HP

I just bought a 90 7-up car. It is a 306 trick flow heads, intake, blower cam, headers, off road, full suspension work, V1 Vortech kit.

It is making 360HP to the tires on 2LB of boost. I want to get a smaller pully and try to get 450HP to the tires.

Problem is the fuel system is stock. If I were to get an inline boost pump, 90mm mass air and 42lb injectors, could I get rid of the FMU at this point? Would this be enough fuel?

thanks

your fuel rails will begin to be a restriction... look into aftermarket rails. also, if you wanna do an inline pump, do it the right way and run all new fuel lines, and a pump-less sump

Thanks for the tip. I did not even think of the rails.

NO 2lb of Boost!!!!

360HP is good for 2LB of boost.

The whole point of my post is it is running out of fuel. The reason the boost is so low is because the heads flow great thus reducing the boost pressure. I need to build a fuel system so I can crank the boost.

lol... your not running out of fuel, you have an intake leak

nobody makes a 2lb supercharger. If your only boosting 2psi, youve got problems....

I dropped from 5 psi to 3, but that was after a 347 stroker was put in and I did heads and cam.

I was told this isn't surprising.

Keep the FMU, unless you're doing the entire fuel system/rail. At that point, a tuner would recommend taking it off.
