cobra gt40x HCI combo
hey guys this seemed like a pretty good deal for a mild street car/weekend racer. wut do u guys think? and would it be ok to leave the heads as is for a goal of about 300rwhp? or should they be ported? would this keep the car smog legal? and how much power would i have after this mod. thanks guys.
p.s could i install these without taking the engine out of the car?

well in that deal i would be getting gt40x heads, valve springs, 1.7 rockers, cobra upper and lower intake, and a e303 cam. how much power do you guys think i would have? i dont want heads that are gonna sacrifice low end..

RE: cobra gt40x HCI combo
your not gonna sacrifice anything.
gt40x heads are awesome, yes they can go on the car w/out removing the motor. but you have to use head bolts, not studs to do it. this goes for a foxbody, unsure of sn95
you can go w/out any porting, but a good valve job (how many miles are on the heads ?) and some minor porting on the exhaust ports will go along way for any head.
every dollar you spend on port work (if done in the right places) is worth about $2 of coin spent on the heads.
unsure of the intake and cam of your choice, but i see an honest 325 no probs, assuming the intake is box-stock, no ported lower
