you might want to check your rear brakes first of all. take the drums off and make sure your axle seals arent leaking. when grease gets on the shoes they become worthless and will lock up constantly, no matter how much pressure you apply to the pedal. your breaks shouldnt lock up unless you're panic stopping, or just not giving yourself enough time to slow down.

also you might need to check out your calipers and slides the may need to be replaced for lubed

If all that fails, I have cheapie summit cross drilled rotors and ceramic pads on my 91. For the $120 I spent it stops a ton better. Stock stuff was also warped all to hell...

My car's brakes are horrible too and everything is good. It just skids and heats up the brakes when I try to stop while going fast.

Thats why Im doing a 5 lug swap for the better brakes.
