Default 331 pros and cons

Im looking to hear about the pros and cons of a 331 cause im thinking of making one for my 91gt as daily driver using a dss rotating assembly

well from what ive read...the long rod used with the 347 mounted high up on the piston, requiring a wrist-pin hole that protruded into the oil-ring lands. that causes oil to burn. heres the link and you could do some reading...it will help.

PRO's- more power, faster car
CONS's- more money then i can afford.

Seriously Ive heard pretty much nothing but good things from the 331but why not just keep the 302 as the daily driver and put the extra money somewhere else.

im building a motor for my car so i can still drive this one im not sure how much longer this motor has cause the peoplei got it from beat the hell out of it

331 Pro = More power than a 302, 306, 308

331 Con = Less power than a 347

very streetable, its just extra cubic inches. fuel consumption will go up a bit. yes a two bolt will hold just fine.


i have a 331 (pic in my sig). dont know how well it runs because its still on the stand. waiting for my aod to be built but lack of funds is slowing me down
