They're starting to pop up around here and I actually heard one foxbody in the area with one. In my opinion, they're the ULTIMATE in rice and are more annoying than the fart can exhausts. If I see the foxbody again, I'll try to snag a video of it so you can hear it. Other than the whistle tips, it seems normal so I was a bit surprised by the rice factor.

Never heard one of those yet out here in GA, Mustangs are not meant to whistle, they are meant to rumble.

What is a whistle tip? there are only a few 5.0's out here and they are incredibly loud(none are catted) there is really a lack of rice around, thank god and there is this sick sn-95 that you can hear from a mile away with deep dish bullit's and its a yellow gt coupe. I need to talk to the guy because its amazingly nice.

Basically, install a piece of metal in your exhaust to turn it into a loud whistle. Dumbest thing ever but they seem to be getting real popular.

they put them on buicks and oldsmobiles in the bay area im pretty sure it originated in east oakland it takes horse power away and gives too much back pressure and decreases gas milage there pointless they also have suction pipes which make a woosh sound and those are also pointless not meant for mustangs

we installed one of those "turbo soundmakers" on a friends car awhile back that just clipped on the tailpipes. He drve around for about a month, before he asked one of us what the whistle was coming from.....hahaha we always play jokes on each other like that, so its all good. Never knew it was a fad. sillys people hahahahaha
