Default When and what to reubuild on a 94 mustang?

I have a mustang with 105 miles on it. What could i expect to do before I hit 250,000 miles? RIght now I have the choice of making mine nicer with exhaust or buying a 97 svt with 50,000 miles on it. I really like mine but fear it has too many miles on it?

I scraped the corvette idea insurance is 270.00 a month.

The decisison will mainly be how long these things last and how much it would cost to rebuild a mustang... transmission motor etc?

Thats a simple question, buy a new car. Im sorry man, but i HIGHLY doubt your stang will last 250k, well maintained or not. Unless your going to COMPELTELY rebuild her or drop in a new engine, then the BODY will last 250k i guess. But the engine will not.

meh i knew you were going to call me out on this. The likely hood of the engine lasting to 250k without major upgrades is unlikely, you and i both know this adder. However it is possible yes, but with a lot of work and maintence. And god only knows how bad she was beat before you got her.

actually, i know exactly how my car was treated before i got it... I have the original owners information and i have contacted them about the car (even though they sold it back in 97... heh) It went through 2 other people after me, and i know for a fact that the last owner wasnt beating on it too bad, because i had a busted cat converter which would stop the car from accelerating past 3500rpms.. it was like the car would hit a brick wall

i defintily wouldnt go that far...

I may know my way around 5.0's and probes.. but im definitly not the best tech around. I'd have to say that Joel5.0, PRO50SC, and VRIStang are definitly more versitile and more knowledgeable than i am
