I've recently purchased a Tremec t56 and i am in the process of installing it into my 83 glx... I have read till my eyes are about to bleed and the only thing i can find are people telling other people to goto D&D and then people coming in behind them calling them ********. I know i have to modify my crossmember, and one of the options i'm considering is drilling the body and mounting some brackets to attach the crossmember to.

I would much rather get a crossmember that would work without moving the mounts (and drilling holes into my car). Does anyone know of someplace (other than D&D, i've already called, they wont sale anything without the transmission) that sales just crossmembers/mounts/driveshaft?

Btw, if I'm not 100% coherent, it's late and i've been searching through all these posts for a while.

i'll call D&D tomorrow and see if they'll sell me just the cross member... i buy ALOT of rebuild kits from them and they give me pretty good deals on most things so maybe i'll get lucky and they'll sell just the x member... if they won't sell it then u can look at other major tanny companies and see if they'll sell them, i have a MM&FF mag at my parents house that has an add in if for a t-56 swap but i don't remember the name of the companie, i'll be up for a while still so i'll see if i can't find a place other than DD for ya

i'll call DD and let ya know tomorrow and i'll keep looking around and see if i can't get that mag mailed to me and i'll find that other company

edit: check mustangs unlimited i'm not sure if they sell that or not, couldn't hurt to check tho, call summit and jegs too
