tko 500 question

Default tko 500 question

I have a 1989 5.0 hatch with a stock t5, I want to upgrade to a tko 500 but one is a 10 spline in and the other is a 26 spline. What is the difference and which one should i get, thanks in advance

I Got the ten splin in mine... the reason i got the ten splin was because i didnt want to get a new clutch because mine was new.. i dont think there is a diffrence between a 26 and a 10 splin....

Only thing that really concerns about the spline difference is that 10 spline clutches only work with 10 splined input shafts, and 26 splined clutches with 26 splined input shafts. The more splines the stronger its going to be. (Thinking along the same lines as axles... ie 28 spline vs 31, or 35 or whatever.)
If you have bought a new clutch and aren't putting down that much power, I would just wait, you don't necessarily need a TKO. You don't even HAVE to have one if you have H/C/I or a s/c even.
