yea theres a clutch there for a reason lol. i always thought powershifting was jus keeping the gas pedal floored but still using the clutch and shifting as fast as u can.

the t-5 tranny is a fully synchronized transmission, so with that said, you can drive it without having to use the clutch, and it does absolutely no damage to the transmission...thats how it was designed....now if you have messed up synchronizers then you cant do it. the only time you need the clutch is to start the car and get it into first gear

^ it can be done harmlessly. The grind you hear when not executed properly IS bad. Break a left leg on a manual daily driver and you'll get it down. Dude your just letting theblocker rings scape agains the gears. Metal on metal is wear any way you slice it.

u sir are a moron... shifting with out the clutch will hurt syncros regardless, however if you matc hthe rpms it won't hurt them as much...

powershifting is not using the clutch to shift while your car is at WOT (common in drag cars with manuals)
speedshifting is using the clutch and shifting as fast as you can (if done correctly very LITTLE harm will come to the tranny)
and i rever to not lifting your foot for shifts while using the clutch as "no lift shifting"

here is an example of no lift shifting and yes i'm a "slow" shifter

you just have to match the revs, like double clutching, my dad used to just wait when he was slowing down and at like 1.5k rpm, just slide it out of gear, no clutch

you can also shift w. no clutch if u really want to, or just tap the clutch and give it hell... but guess what... ****in stupid idea...

bottom line, if you like your mustang, and want ur tranny to work... dont shift w. out the clutch, wether it be matching rpms or not... dont ****in do it
