RE: confused about my 1/4 mile time
the gear ratio is bogging the car.. nothin u can do
i have 3.27's and its still slow as hell in 1st
aluminum driveshaft also reduces the rotational mass required to turn it, making the car accelerate faster.

Get those gears in then take it back. I'd get some sticky tires too. Also if you can, check your timing, i'd bump it up as high as possible, should be around 14*.

Short of using a gauge, there is no way to judge compression. MASSIVE crankcase pressure perhaps, but you should have noticed something like that. SPOUT is a wire that allows the cars computer to control spark advance. Without it your car isa pooch. If this wire opens up (very easily possible) you will haveclose to a 17 second 1320.

RE: confused about my 1/4 mile time
You have other issues with your car dude. At 6000 ft. elevation and 92 degrees farenheit, I ran a 15.5 @ 91.25 mph and a 2.3 60 ft. Only mods that I had were gears, intake, headers and a few little bolt ons. Something is really wrong there, even though it's an AOD and you're not at sea level, you should not be running that slow. Run codes and do some diagnostics before you start throwing money into a torque converter and other performance mods. Have you cleaned your MAF, air filter, checked plugs, or anything like that?
