Thats a pretty open ended situation. Be more specific about what you wanna know.

I am not at all experienced when it comes to building/modifying cars, and I do not even pretend to be advanced in my knowledge of this matter. I need to learn how to modify engines to get the different variations that I see people mention. For example, what is a 331 stroker, and how do you arrive at that variation? I also need to learn about suspensions. What modifications can you make to achieve a different feel in the ride and the steering? Where can I research these things to learn this stuff?

a lot of it is personal preference.....suspension wise...and engine wise...and all in the brand.....just remember you get what you pay for!! little more specifics on what you wanna do with the car would be helpful, do you want a tire shredding drag car? or a daily cruiser that'll eat anything in sight?

my suggestion is to just go to the local book store or parts store and get a Chilton manual for the year. it will tell you pretty much anything you need to konw on fixing the car. and in your free time resarch, if you go to winkapedia.com they have definitions for almost all automotive terms.
