Fuel pressure drops after start and dies
87 5.0 currently SD system converting to MAF after i fix current bugs......
Problem: Car starts idles fine @ around 30psiof fuel pressure( i know should be more but its a cheap guage). After maybe 20-45 seconds, pressure starts dropping and car starts to die out and finally shuts off. I can hear the pump running on its last breath. Pump was new about a month or so ago.
possible problems? Bad pump? Bad hosefrom pump?
Any suggestions appreciated!
Thanks,
Tom

RE: Fuel pressure drops after start and dies
found the problem, the hose that goes between the pump and the tube was lose and brittle. The guy that changed the pump must have not changed it. It had those cheap plastic clamps that werent even tight. And btw its all stock atm short of a e303 cam........ MAF coming soon!
