my oil pressure is where it is at when its cold but when its up to operating temp the oil pressure drops from 50 while driving when cold to about 40 while driving when warmed up my car has about 155k miles the oil pressure doesnt bounce around its just lower that factory specs anybody have any ideas

The oil is thicker when its cold, so when its hot it thins out making it move easier through the engine which lowers the pressure.

thats what i figured but a friend of mine his oil pressure when warm is where it should be according to ford

What weight oil you using ?

10w30 mobil one was thinking of using 20w50 but with the temps here in the low teens my car prob wouldnt start
