bowl ported heads

is there a significant gain by bowl porting heads ?I have always wondered andI cant find an answer

all it is is making the ports in the head smother http://www.gethoned.com/process.html if you want every thing nice and smoth extrude a hone is grate

LOL. I used to call it pocket porting, and other mechanics (I used to be a bike mechanic) looked at me like I was crazy. Glad to see that I didn't make the term up.
