Should I stroke or not

RE: Should I stroke or not
I did SC, intake, and all the other typical mods (exhaust, gears, headers, exhaust, electric fan, ign. etc.)but my bottleneck was in my heads.
I just had a 347 built with Canfield 195 heads and a custom grind cam,by Jay Allen at Camshaft Innovations, 1.6 RR'sand am psyched to get it dyno'd. If you're doing an SC, you'll need to upgrade the inj. 30's would be fine, but think ahead. If you're going to do more down the road, you'll most likely need bigger inj.

A supercharger, with some ported stock heads or gt 40 and bigger upper and lower intake will make you happy at 9psi.
The 225 hp 5.0 legend is gone, you now need at least 350 flywheel hp to keep up with modern sports cars, that will try you, even mom in the minivan has 240+ hp now..
The retrofit parts and shops are killing us on our stroker kits and retrofit parts, some chevy parts are like 40% lower cost than Ford.[:'(]
If you want naturally aspirated and doing the work yourself, a $3,500 budget is what your gonna be looking at, after parts, good machining, balancing, taxes and misc stuff on a 351w stroked over with HCIE .

I am pretty new to this so forgive me if I ask any ridiculous questions but, I am looking to buy an 87 - 93 GT mustang, manual tranny, within a year or so and and have a few questions before I do. First of all, is there any way to test a block on the spot to see how solid it is before you buy a car. Second, Im looking to get about 350 - 400hp out of it for as cheap as possible. What I plan to do is to stroke the 302 to a 347 and leave the rest as stock as possible. What kind of hp would this change make? And, what other changes would be necessary in order to make my car function properly? Would I need to make any changes to the suspension because of it being stroked? Any help on these couple of topics would be greatly appreciated.
