Recommended Cam And Heads For My 88 GT??

I am looking to have some engine work done to my car so i am looking to have good or better performance then i do now but i still want it to be an everyday kind of driver. Like say if i wanted to be in the 12's with the mods that i have and the cam and heads. Or if not then tell me what you think would be a good estimate for a time in the 1/4 mile. Well any help would be great!!! Thanks!!!

well there is several ways to go ..a nice supercharger or 125 shot of the giggle gas or a set of 185's afr and a cam in the 510 range with some supension mods would net the 12's

before u do anything convert ur car to mass air!!! ur gonna regret doin all these mods and then not be able to drive it around cause it runs like ****. i got my kit from brothers performance and got it installed for 200 and it made my car run a lot better. trust me. then yah a good set of edlebrock heads and an e cam wont get u in the 12's but add a lil bit of that giggle gas and ull be there

What a freaking Stock cam can get you in the 12s. I have met peeps with stock intake and heads 12s. And I have Hp and MPH to run 12s with my E-cam now what?

one question, emissions or non-emissions? cause this will make a HUGE impact on the stuff you put on.

im want it to be an on road car but i am realizing that it is just turning into a fun car and use it on sunny days and at the track. So i would love to have a fast ass street car but could any give me cam set ups for each situation. Like one for good beginner track and one for street fast car. Thanks alot.

Its possible to have a 5.0 with around 500hp and still pass emissions, I actually think its a show of skill to be able to also. Anyways, get an E303 cam if your doing mostly street, you dont want one of those big ass cams for the street, b/c you wont be able to run the car right at low rpms. You need a cam with about 220-225 degrees of duration and around .460 of lift. Ford racing makes other cams if you want something a little meaner, although the E303's pass emissions, if thats what your looking for.
As for heads, Im a fan of the AFR 165's and I hear TF Twisted Wedges are good for super charging. That E303 will work good with either of those heads.
