Default Lowered and 18's

I know people get tired of these same post but I have not found one to answer my question. I have a 91 gt hatch and am wanting to lower it. I am also going to do the 5 lug conversion. I am wanting to put 18's on it but will that work with it being lowered. Also what springs, shocks, and struts would be best. This is any every day driver. Thanks.

dont drop past 1" with 18" rims.......might rub. did my car 1.5" in the back and 1.7" in the front. I have 16" rims and rubs fenders when I make sharp turns ( not alot but it still rubs). going to put 17" cobras with smaller tire. as for shocks and struts I have kyb agx's and they are a good adjustable shock/strut.

yea if u wanna lower it more than an 1' then use 17' rims otherwise u are going to need maad low pro tires for it not to rub which doesn look as good as 17' rims with a lil thicker tire.. take a look a my link in my sig... thats mine lowered 1.5' with 17' rims... if u want a real small tire which also costs more, than go with the 18s...

Thanks guys for the info. This is my everyday driver so I think I may just stick with the 18's and forget the lowering .
