Default auburn lsd and axles

i have an auburn and i need new axles because the splines are worn all out. they are 28 spline. some places i look for axles shows axles and 'axles for auburn'. anyone know the difference?

well i couldn't find the answer anywhere. even from the people who sell auburn specific axles. so i ordered the a set from summit that are factory replacements. that sucks they sell the stuff and can't tell me what the heck the difference is. i probably shoulda called auburn.

i asked the same question when i ordered axles. i was told the only difference is the length of the axle from the inside tip, to the valley the c-clip sits in. any axle that is stock legnth will work with any limited slip, locker or spool

I got the moser ones for my auburn and it was a tight fit, I had to use some emery cloth on the ends of the axle so I could put in the carrier pin.

did you buy the ones that said 'for auburn'? i'm hoping it's just the splines are beat on my axles because the slop around in the carrier a lot
