Default stock vs msd distributor

would it be pointless to upgrade to a msddistributor for a 300hp n/a car or will the stock distributor work just fine

me myself for 300 hp i would leave the stock system on it ,unless you got nitrous or s/c ..

I personally don't know, but I've heard that the electronics in the msd are junk. I am running about 350 horsepower with the stock distributor.

i was running the stock dizzy with just upgraded msd stuf around it (6al, coil, and cap and rotor

Leave the stocker. The MSD dizzys suck. I have heard alot of ppl that have had problems w/ them including myself. I put the stocker back in, and no problems. Spend your money elsewhere!!!

if you are spraying her...the 6al box help out a good bit! it keeps the spark burning i think around 20* of rotation more. that helps burn all the nitrous in the clyinder
