If it was a stock fox than you should be able to take him now ( or be close atleast ) Foxes arent that much faster than SN-95's.... just a little weight difference.

I wouldnt be suprised if you could beat him now depending on what gears you have. I would say go for a set of gears, one of the best bang for the buck mods.
Exactly. Look at the comparison. The Mustang is only 52 pounds heavier and that is curb weight. he can easily shed that, especialyl if you factor in driver weight, fuel weight, etc (don't race on a full tank, lol.) In stock form, the Nissan does have 40 more BHP, but the Mustang has 39 more torque. That doesn't factor in the exhaust or CAI. With that much torque, you should be able to get him from the line. Then you just need to hold him off

Any small mod and I think it's all over. Get gears and that will make a huge difference. Or if you have an extra $400, then get a nitrous kit and call it a day. Add about 100 more HP and be done with it

I don't think your going to stand a chance down low. Up high I think you'll take him, but most people don't like racing until they reach 150mph. While your car is great and better for upgrades, keep in mind ford didn't to a great job on designing most of the parts for power, horrible heads, horrible intake. I think you could take him with heads & intake. (if that doesn't do it put a cam in) Or you could go with nitrous.
As of now I think your best bet is to race him from a decent roll.. 45, 55.

Throw some gears in, bump your timing, get some exhaust and some sticky a ss tires and launch him off the line.

If he's got the V6 I believe they have low 15 sec potential, with your AOD you might need gears to take him.

I think you have a better chance from a light. Top end i thing he might beat you. Depending on the year those maximas have 255 hp 3.5l. Torque steering is a bitch on that car from a dig.
