ok yes the car is stock.... as for the size tire im going... 235/60/15. and this whole itll slow me down thing is new to me... at the track now i cant "launch" the car at all, even 2k spins... ive always been told and heard that some sticky tires will help a ton... yes its stock andnot making much power, but since when are they going to hurt my times???

get 'em dude, you will not be disapointed and i can gaurentee if youre car is anything like my 86, traction in first is really limited on street tires and the DR's will help. those 235's will work good and it wont slow you down.. i was actually looking into gettingthe same tiresbut i am picking up some new 16's this weekend... and if it does slow you downi will be hugely surprised. Just my $.02.

Tell me about it man. i can be going 15-20 mph in first and just punch it in firstand the tires will light right up even if they are heated up. i am hopeing to fix that with some 255/50/16 MT DR's.

yup 1st is a nice lil dance w. the clutch and the gas.. i dont think the gas ever gets to see the floor... im really thinking DRs will help that...

any recomendations on tire psi and a rough point of where to try to launch? i realize both of these will be diff for everone and i need to experiment... but i need a starting point, lol.

i would start at 15psi and work with it a little to see what nets you the best traction.

thats tough.. every track is different. it depends on the track prep.. and temp and all that.. i would say start at 3000rpm and work with it. just my opinion though. thats what i am gonna do.
