Its pretty easy actually, because you can pull them right out through the top. I have a 93 5.0 and i did my headers. There isnt much tricky to it, except use dental flosse to tie the gasket to the header when your getting them implace so you wont have to hold the gasket on when your trying to put them in, then when you start bolting them in, just pull the dental flosse out, you can thank Roundman for that one. . Other than that its pretty simple, the passenger side looks worse than it really is. Now that ive done it a few times I can get to my passenger side header in about 5 min. That tube coming off the cats though, dunno what its called, might get in the way. When I was doing mine, it wasnt in the way b/c i was removeing the cats too. GOOD LUCK, its easier than it looks.

you can temporarily remove the smog pump hoses and valves on the passenger side to get easier access to this side of the engine to install the headers. also buy some new header gaskets with metal centers, like Mr. Gasket ones because most that come with new headers are really cheap ones and they won't last long and you'll be replacing them sooner than you think. assuming you go with equal length shorties, your best bet on the passenger side is to get the bolt started on the front side of the #3 cylinder port first as this one can be a real pain to get in unless the whole header flange is loose because of the sharp bend in the header pipe that comes right back over top the bolt hole. also be careful replacing the spark plug wires, especially around the #3 cylinder as it's easy to get them too close to the header pipes which will result in a burnt wire.
