Are the equal length headers that much better?

Not by much and they're harder to install. I guess it's amatter of preference.

i got bbk ceramic equal length shorties.. great quality! you'll just have to tighten the bolts every few days after u install them for a few weeks b/c they come loose, but after a few weeks, they should be good..

i've had a problem with my bbk ceramics getting surface rust, i dont know if living on the coast makes a difference it might though, but its never driven in the winter so its not salt thats making them rust faster

other than that they've held up well, the thick one peice flange is great, i drove 8000 miles without ever tightning the header bolts before i got a leak

I am definately going with shorties. I believe the long tubes would hurt my performance more than help it at this point and in the future, i don't plan on having any more than 300 to 350 hp by the time I complete everything on the car.

i read up on bbk and summit and they have the same specs on the ceramic coated. i would go with summit, thats what i bought and they rock. super easy install. on driver side header the #1 tube bends back slightly to go around the steering linkage. plus the flang is threaded so its easy for one person to install. but the non ceramic headers bbk all the way, higher quality metal
