Default Question about seafoam

Im gonna get some for the 92 and it says you have to let the car warm up, cept i dont think my car has a thermostat, so it runs pretty cold, would that cause any problems with the process, or will i be ok?

Not having a stat will cause all kinds of problems.
Getting the car warm enough for seafoam is nothing compared to the increased bore wear you could be experiencing.

What are your coolant temps normally?

I used it when my car was cold cuz it takes about 59583 hours to warm up, so i said eff it, and just sucked it up. Didnt do anything but help the car out. Seafoam is a great product, works very well. But just to be on the safe side i'd definatly wait for it to warm up. And on that note, get a damn thermostat in there, not a swell idea to run without one.

im not sure, it may have one, but it takes forever to heat up and its max heating point is like 150-160, im not entirely sure, do 5.0s just not produce alot of heat?

What are you using as a temp gauge?
The stocker is known to be questionable. In my car it reads near dead on, but in MANY other Mustangs it is way off.

Your coolant temps should be higher than that.
Temps below 170F - 180F will cause increased cyl bore wear.
It may be a 160F stat, but who knows...

Just head down to the parts store and get a 195F or 180F stat. Do the swap, and see what the previous owner was using.
