Default piston help and rebuild help

im about to order the trick flow kit for my motor, its already out and i got it down to the bare block, i am keeping the stock crank, stock conecting rods but rebolting then with arp bolts. my question is about the federal mongul rebuild kit im getting. I am going forged to get the higher compression ratio (probally around 9.5:1 or a little higher with the 61cc combustionchambers)and so its a little stronger. Does ne one know the weight of these pistons vs the stock ones? i dont want the balance to be off.

thanks for your help
cory

The balance will be off especially if you orignally had a hyper stock piston, you will have to re-balance or run the risk of vibration and wiping the mains

Considering you're swapping both the rod bolts and the pistons themselves, you'll definately need a professional re-balancing. The good news is that you'll have a healthier, happier, longer lasting engine for doing so.

However, you can save yourself a bit of money by insuring that the individual components come as close to similar blueprint specs as possible. You can pick up a blueprinting book at any library that'll show you how.
