is this bad?
i went to start my mustang last night and it was so cold i figured it wouldnt start and of course it didnt. i cranked it twice trying to get it to start but by that time of course i drained the battery pretty good. should i jump it this afternoon and get it going again or is it bad to leave it sit with a partially drained battery until it warms up

RE: is this bad?
bump...

RE: is this bad?
u tried it twice and drained the battery?
something isnt right.. |
RE: is this bad?
Agreed.. two quick hits definitely shouldn't drain a battery
|
RE: is this bad?
i let it crank for quite a few second both times. each time it cranked slower and slower. plus before i even started the gauge needle was the line just above the first red line. tell you it was freakin cold -22 cold drains batteries

RE: is this bad?
it was about 5 degress last night and I had no problem starting my car.
trickle charge it or try a jump |
RE: is this bad?
just jump it and let the alt. charge the battery up on its own..

RE: is this bad?
so i should jump it? so your saying its bad to leave the battery drained? i'm just trying to get back to the original ?'s. and i see my reply got kinda cut off. it was -22....thats 27 degrees colder than when you tried to start your car...my brand new 2005 f-150 hardly wanted to start...took me two cranks on that beast and the power stearing whined just rediculus

RE: is this bad?
yes jump it and when it starts dont just drive the thing away let it warm up for a good 10 minutes
ur f150 was whining cus the fluid was frozen i duno why ur tryin to drive it if its -22 out anyway u just gunna hit a patch of ice and spin out |
RE: is this bad?
had to drive, work wasnt canceled which sucked. and i know the power stearing was frozen...just sayin it was soo loud i've never heard it that loud. i let my truck warm up for about 20 minutes and the needle barely was on the C line. so i started driving. took me 20 minutes to drive to work and when i got there my gauge still wasnt at its normal operating temp...freaking cold!!!
