it also depends on what kind of heat you are used to , or are looking for .... i have owned a few fox mustangs ... my brother has also.... not one of them made any real hot run you out of the car heat . all you can do is make sure that you have the proper coolant level ... make sure the core isn't clogged , & controls are working.... also make sure the fan clutch is working properly ... if you have a frozen clutch on the fan its like having a direct drive fan , & that will keep it cool also.....putting a 180 therm is gonna make the heat cooler i can tell you that..
I have never owned a fox body before. I just think the heat is taking too long to get like real hot. And even that is hot, it's not real hot. I just thought the car was something wrong with it because it took a long time to get warm in my fox. And doing a radiator flush with a thermostat swap out seemed like it was the best idea. But I won't even mess with it if you saay that the fox bodies are just that way and don't get really hot. My radiator fliud looks fine and I might just wait till summer to do this. Comments?

Couldnt raelly hurt to do it. It may help, it may not. Either way it'll be new and fresh and you'll have that peace of mind.

If its got a new core its completely possible that someone installed (or made) a special service vehicle heater core resistrictor plug.. I made one out of stainless for mine with a 5/16" (maybe it was 3/8", I don't remember) hole and it certainly does take longer for good heat now. But eventually it does get hot enough to run you out of the car. When it was stock the heat was just as good as anything else I've ever had (except the Jeep.. Its got a crazy hot heater).
