I have recently purchased a 1990 GT. I am a beginner as far as being a mechanic and working on cars, although I learn fast. But the Mustang I purchased is all original. Therefore, the motor hasnt been touched. Well, I am looking to "touch" it and start making some mods to the engine. Can anyone recommend some mods I should explore in adding some noise and some HP to my engine. Any information or help would be totally appreciated. Once again, I am obviously looking for some added horsepower and some rumbling noise...

gears first. Headers, muffs, second, if you want some grunt.

first off full exaust needs to be done for a little more power and noise (headers, mid-pipe, and cat-back) but if you are just looking to speed her up a little bit you cant go wrong with some rear-end gears and a few suspension mods! i dont know if you have a auto or a manual and if it is your daily driver but i would always go exaust first so you get a nice sound from her then go suspension before anything else cuz you will be amazed at what just some gears and a little suspension work will do

I actually forgot to mention that I have actually already went ahead and did the exhaust from the motor back (headers, mufflers, etc.)

n e way, on topic... lower control arms, uppers, springs, shocks, struts<what exactly will depend on what ur goal w. the car is, straight line, or handling??

not being as ***.....use the search for tons of info and ideas instead of sitting on your butt and waiting for people to response..

upper and lower conrtol arms, shocks struts, drag springs, anything that will distribute weight a little better to the rear on take off. other than that u can just start with the bolt ons i would start small maybe some underdrive pulleys or something. how much money do you wanna spend? i have
