Default 9" rear end

Hello everyone i have a question....right now i have a 7.5 rear end from my four cylinder and i am going to swap in a 5.0. MYquestion is that i have a chance to get a free 9" ford posi rear end with gears in it for free, what would i have to do to ake it fit in the stang? Would i be better off getting a 8.8 since its a mostly stock 5.0 or what? thanks
tyler

youll have to make sure the width is the same, you dont want your tires sticking out. and you will need new rims , should be 5 lug. but hell its free take it home.id go for a 4 link or ladder bar rear with coil overs, mini tub with some fat rubber.youll be ready for any engine then

dont bother getting a 9 inch.... your not making NEARLY enough power to justify having one

find an 8.8 somewhere... since it will literally just BOLT IN

i'd rather spend $150-$200 to bolt in a used 8.8 than a similar amount of money to fabricate mounts on a 9" its more money than he needs to spend, and you are misleading him
