car idles fine exept when i go to turn the steering wheel... then it starts to stumble, any thoughts?

either the idle is too low or maybe you have a bad rack and pinoin or power steering pump just an idea

well that sound's about right unless you have a cam but it got to do something with one of the steering componets kinda sounds like a power steering pump

not really fella's his ignition switch could be shot.....they had a recall on those i had mine done last week,and mines an 88gt they honored it..........wait is yours a fox body? any ways if it is bad you can shake the steering wheel and it should act up if it is bad.

no when he turns the steering wheel it causes the idle to drop and the car runs rough which it is normal for the idle to drop a hair when turing the steering wheel at a dead stop but not enough to make the car run rough
